Whitney paid homage to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with her performance of the iconic 1968 song “Abraham, Martin and John” at Classic Whitney in 1997. The song was written by Dick Holler and recorded by greats such as Dion, Marvin Gaye, and Harry Belafonte.
