On November 7, 1995 “Exhale (Shoop Shoop)” was released as the lead single from the Waiting To Exhale soundtrack. It became Whitney’s eleventh #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a tremendous hit worldwide. The song was written and produced by Babyface and won a GRAMMY for Best R&B Song, a Soul Train Music Award, and several other awards. Whitney teased Babyface when she first heard the “shoop shoop,” thinking he had “lost it and run out of words.” 🙂
