On December 10, 1996 (26 years ago) “I Believe In You And Me” was released as a single from The Preacher’s Wife soundtrack. The song was originally recorded by The Four Tops in 1983. Whitney’s version was nominated for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 40th GRAMMY Awards and became a Top 5 hit on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.
