May 1, 1993 – “I Have Nothing,” the third single from The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album, hit #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. Written by David Foster and Linda Thompson and produced by Foster, the song was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song and a Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B Single, Female. Whitney performed “I Have Nothing” live on The Bodyguard World Tour as well as many TV performances. The music video is intercut with scenes from The Bodyguard film and it currently has more than 700 million views on YouTube.
