November 28, 1992 (30 years ago today) – “I Will Always Love You” hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed at the top for 14 consecutive weeks, setting a record for longest running #1 single at that time. The song was certified Diamond by the RIAA, making it Whitney’s first Diamond single. She won the GRAMMY Award for Record of The Year in 1994, among numerous other awards for The Bodyguard soundtrack.
